Singer Tiwa Savage has always gotten it right until last Saturday when she got it all wrong with the agents of the Nigerian police Force. We are told that the singer was arrested in front of the Eko Hotels and Suits Victoria Island for driving against traffic rules and assault of a police office on duty. We heard the singer was immediately escorted to the Victoria Island Police Division where she was detained briefly.
Sources says Tiwa who was late for an appointment could not stop for traffic light along Ademola Adetokunbo and an attempt to stop her by a police officers on duty proved abortive. We are told that she almost ran over the police officer. But luck ran against the singer when she could not maneuver another heavy traffic few meters away. Unknowing for Tiwa, she was been followed by the same police officer whom she had refuse to heed to his instruction earlier.
We are told that when the officer catch up with her, he was actually harassed and assaulted. The police officer we are told was quite with her and waited patiently for his other colleagues to come over to the scene. Sources says Tiwa was advised to apologies to the officer or face the law by a senior officer on duty at the police station. Her publicist firm who have also confirmed the incident have said that the singer has since she realize her mistakes.
