A few hours to Christmas, unknown gunmen have kidnapped the retired primate of the Anglican Church, Peter Akinola, one of the most respected Christian leaders in Nigeria today.
Mr. Akinola, former President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, was seized alongside his driver in Ogun State.
Details of the incident are still sketchy but the Ogun state police command has confirmed the kidnap. 
Archbishop Akinola, 69, was born in Abeokuta and was  Anglican Primate of the Church of Nigeria. Read more
